I was born in Lewisburg, West Virginia, which also happens to be home to the West Virginia State Fair. This explains my affinities for ferris wheels, country music, and potato decorating contests. I earned my B.A. in Anthropology at Columbia University, then went on to study acting at the Stella Adler Studio. Currently, I am earning my M.A. in Applied Theater at the City University of New York and completing a thesis project about creating devised theater in collaboration with older adults with dementia and professional actors. I also serve as the Education Manager of the Brooklyn Arts Exchange. I believe creative self-expression is an essential component of the human experience. Theater is the means through which I have chosen to explore and realize my humanity.
